Begin with what matters to you.

Cosmetic services listed by the practice include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers and tooth-coloured fillings. A consultation is a chance to discuss what you would like to change, the condition of your teeth, and the benefits, limitations and risks of any proposed treatment. No single approach is right for everyone.

What to discuss at your visit

  • What you would like to change and why
  • Whether treatment is suitable for your teeth
  • Alternatives, including no treatment
  • Likely maintenance, costs and limitations

Treatment suitability, results and recovery vary. A dental assessment is needed to discuss the benefits, risks, alternatives and costs for your circumstances. You are welcome to seek an independent second opinion before deciding.

Clear aligners. A plan, not a promise.

Clear aligners are one option for moving teeth. Suitability depends on your teeth, gums, bite and treatment goals. Your clinician can discuss suitable systems, alternatives, treatment time, costs and the need for retainers after treatment.

Spark uses a digital treatment plan and custom removable aligners. Its Approver software supports the clinician’s review of proposed stages. Invisalign’s ClinCheck software helps visualise and plan proposed tooth movements. A simulation is a planning aid, not a guarantee of the final result.

Wearing aligners as prescribed and attending reviews remain important. Tooth movement can cause discomfort; gum problems, unwanted tooth movement or root changes can occur. Your clinician will explain the risks relevant to you. Ask which systems and treatment pathways are currently available through the practice.

What the aligner plan asks of you

Planning is only one part of aligner care. At the start, ask how the aligners should be worn and cleaned, when to change them, and what to do if an aligner is lost or no longer fits.

Reviews allow your clinician to check progress and decide whether changes are needed. Attachments or other steps may form part of your individual plan. Retainers are usually needed after active treatment to help maintain tooth positions. Discuss the costs and practical commitment alongside the alternatives before deciding.
